A Message from Jenny Rathbone
We face an unprecedented cost-of-living crisis. Basic food and heating costs have escalated in a terrifying way; half our citizens are living in fuel poverty and many are going hungry. Our schools, health workers and advice services are all working hard to help people in distress.
Claim What’s Yours
This leaflet sets out the financial support you may be entitled to and where you can get confidential, expert advice; help to apply for benefits and dealing with debts.
Can you help?
Our voluntary and community organisations continue to do fantastic work but demand for their services is escalating and the number of people who have money to spare is shrinking. If you can, please donate to Al-Ikhlas, Glenwood or TAVs, three organisations who are working in the most challenged communities in Cardiff Central. Your help can prevent them having to turn away hungry people in order to focus on the starving.
Wales has a long history of solidarity amidst adversity. Standing together, we can help our community survive this winter.
Community Support
Thanks to all the volunteers and organisations who work tirelessly to support members of our community who need help. If you need warmth, food or friendship, they are here to help.
